What to Expect

Barcelona’s Wax Museum lies somewhat hidden away in a narrow alleyway in the Gothic Quarter. The neo-classicist building, which houses the museum, boasts all the splendor of a nineteenth-century city palace and provides an atmospheric backdrop for this private collection of more than 200 wax figures. Established in 1973 by Enrique Alarcón, the museum displays figures of real and fictional celebrities with a strong focus on Spanish culture and history.

So take a tour through the museum and rub shoulders with Michael Jackson, Dalí and Picasso. Witness a bank robbery, venture into the Chamber of Horrors and if you are still up for it, pay a visit to the magical 'Bosc de les fades', the fairytale café just around the corner.
